Who here enjoys playing MMORPG’s, and how many of us have tried World of Warcraft? What has made this the most successful game in the history of online gaming? Sure, there were other MMO’s before WoW started and many more after vanilla wow was released but none had been able to break through and totally obliterate the competition as Blizzard have done.
People from adolescents to the elderly have taken up the game and fallen in love with it. It’s concept is very simple yet the scopes so vast that the mind reels when thinking about the man hours and sleepless nights that have gone into building it.
YET, deep inside me there is this overwhelming desire, almost obsession I should say to create something even better. An MMORPG that will take over the mantle of WoW’s domination. I fully expect most people reading this to LOL and shake their heads and I don’t blame you, I probably would. What makes me think that there’s any chance in hell of being able to accomplish this impossible dream. No-one else in the history of Earth except Blizzard have achieved this, yet without trying, without taking those first tentative steps we would never know.
This is my journey of discovery and adventure. A discovery about myself and my adventure to create and share a dream that has been in stasis for too long, bringing it to life into a world to be shared and played by millions.
